Precinct Committee Person can be an elected or appointed position.

Elected PCs must complete an Affidavit for Nomination and collect signatures from Democrats in their Precinct.

Appointed PCs fill out a form that is approved by the Coconino County Democratic Party Chair Person and forwarded to the County Board of Supervisors who appoint the individual after verifying voter registration and Precinct.

The basic job description is as follows:

• Get Democrats in your precinct to vote.

1. Register Democrats who move into the neighborhood
2. Call/Walk your neighborhood with information about candidates
3. Recruit additional PCs and volunteers

• Attend some of the meetings held by the Democratic Party.

1. Tamale Sale
2. Roosevelt/Kennedy Dinner
3. Monsoon Picnic
4. Chili Cook-off
5. Christmas Party

• Support Democrats to get elected.

1. Call/Walk for Candidates
2. Attend rallies/events
3. Register voters on 4th of July/other events

Our first event for the 2010/2011 PC's is a welcome Summer Solstice Party at HQ on Jun 21st starting at 5:30.  We will be serving coffee and desserts and getting to know each other.  Hope to see you there!
